This rare Eugénia, called Uvalha or Uvaia by the natives, comes from Brazil and begins to bear fruit around the third year after the seed is planted. The offered plants come from the seeds of fruits harvested from our self-fertilizing plant, which we lovingly grow in the north of Bohemia. (Self-pollinated means that a single plant is enough to reproduce.)
The fruits of Eugénia pyriformis are bright yellow, full of juicy, sweet and sour pulp, which tastes like apricots, but with strong tropical notes. Their taste is refreshing and unique, ideal for direct consumption or for preparing homemade delicacies.
Eugenia is easy to grow. It thrives in a flower pot, whether you keep it by the window all year round, or you move it outside from spring to autumn - to the garden, balcony or terrace. With the arrival of cooler days, usually around October, when temperatures drop to 10-5°C, you simply move it back home to a bright spot. Your Eugenia will soon reward you for your care with her delicious fruits!
