Guava Psidium Firmum

We will start shipping in April 2025

Psidium firmum is a rare variety of guava native to southern Brazil, related to the classic guava (P. guajava). This small bush produces clusters of small but very tasty fruits with a pleasant sweet and sour taste, complemented by subtle strawberry notes. The seeds are so small that they are almost unnoticeable when eaten, making it an even more attractive alternative to the common strawberry guava (P. cattleyanum).

One of the main benefits of this plant is its compact size, which makes it suitable for growing in containers. The plants from us start to bear fruit around the second to third year and are about 40 cm in size. Moreover, it comes from an area with relatively cold winters, so it can withstand temperatures down to freezing point, which makes it suitable for overwintering together with citrus. It is an interesting choice for exotic fruit plant enthusiasts who are looking for an undemanding but extremely tasty and adaptable variety.

HEIGHT OF PLANTS SOLD 10 to 15 CM
