Abiu, or Caimito as the fruit is called in the Amazon region of South America, where the tropical fruit tree comes from, has yellow-green round fruits, the size of a tennis ball. They have a light, translucent, sweet, custard-like flesh that is easy to scoop up with a spoon. The Tikuma variety comes from the region of the same name in the Amazon, has much larger fruit, better flavor and a higher pulp/seed ratio. Like other tropical plants, we grow them in a pot with the possibility of summering outside and wintering in the apartment by the window. PRICE 18 EURO
