This Jaboticaba is known for having some of the largest leaves of any jaboticaba and large seeds. A semi-deciduous tree often has a curved trunk and a dense crown. It has lanceolate leaves that can reach a length of up to 18 cm. Newly growing leaves are a beautiful salmon color and later turn dark green with deep veins. The fruits are deeply grooved, light green even when ripe and contain 1-3 large seeds. The taste is excellent with a sweet taste of jaboticaba with a touch of honey.
