CAMBUÍ It is a very rare small tree or shrub, with thin branches and twigs, forming a spherical crown. The leaves are tiny and the new shoots have sparse hairs. It grows to a small size, i.e. an ideal jaboticaba for growing in a flower pot or as a bonsai. An adult plant is quite resistant to cold weather, reportedly down to - 6 C. The flowers are hermaphroditic, but for more fruits it is better to grow two plants. Fruits very abundantly. The fruits are spherical, orange-red in color, 0.8 to 1.5 cm in diameter, containing 1 or 2 very small seeds.
