Habanero chili pepper – exotic heat with a fruity taste
Habanero is one of the best-known and most popular hot chili peppers in the world. Its average heat is between 300,000–500,000 SHU, with some variants being more or less spicy. Thanks to its unique taste and intensity, it is one of the most frequently bred varieties.
It originates from Mexico, where it is an essential part of traditional cuisine. It is a member of the Capsicum chinense species (Chinese pepper), known for its distinctive fruity taste.
The Habanero plant grows to a height of 60–80 cm and produces abundant fruits without side shoots. It likes warm and sunny conditions and can produce more than 3 kg of peppers during the season. The fruits ripen in approximately 40–50 days, are thick-walled, juicy and are great for sauces, marinades or pickling.

Strongly fruity notes reminiscent of papaya, coconut and berries.
