Discover a real treasure among exotic plants! Eugenia Pitanga Aňa do Cerrado, a close relative of Eugenia Uniflora, comes from the unique Cerrado region of Brazil. It grows to a maximum of 2 meters in its homeland, but remains compact in a container and will not exceed 1 meter after many years of cultivation.
They form dense bushes with shiny green leaves that beautifully complement the snow-white flowers. Its juicy, aromatic fruits are even sweeter and more delicious than regular pitanga! It is perfect for direct consumption, but also for juices, jams or ice creams.
It grows very slowly, but it begins to bear fruit even earlier - the first fruits can appear in the first year, even on plants smaller than 20 cm! It thrives best in a sunny location, where its fruits acquire a richer taste. It likes poorer, extremely permeable soil and appreciates a slight drying out of the substrate between waterings.
Thanks to its compact growth, it is ideal for balconies, terraces and interiors. With its elegant appearance and delicious fruits, it will delight every lover of exotic fruits.

Instructions for growing EUGÉNIA PITANGA RED
Substrate:
Preferably more acidic and well permeable.
Recommended mixture: 2 parts peat, 2 part perlite, a little sand.
Watering:
Water only when the substrate is slightly dry.
in winter, we limit watering, after watering, we pour out the excess water from the saucer.
Habitat for cultivation:
All year round at home: As close to the window as possible, with enough light.
Summering is possible outside on the terrace, garden or balcony and only from spring to autumn: Partial shade, later full sun.
Wintering:
Tropical plant - cannot tolerate temperatures below 0 °C for a long time. Winter at min. temperature of 5C.
For winter, place in the living room, bedroom, hallway, conservatory or temperate greenhouse, always as close as possible to the window.
Fertilization:
Conventional water-soluble or granulated fertilizers.
For plants under 2 years old, use half doses.
Older plants can tolerate regular doses.
