Annona cherimola 'Campas' - an exotic delicacy from Latin America
Bring a piece of tropical paradise home with Annona cherimola variety 'Campas', one of the most popular varieties in Italy. This slow-growing tree grows to a height of 120-180 cm in a pot
Cherimoya fruits are medium-sized, 7-12 cm long, with a green, slightly bumpy skin and creamy, buttery flesh. Their sweet taste is unique - reminiscent of a combination of pineapple, banana and vanilla with a subtle sour undertone.
Cherimoya 'Campas' is an improved variety that bears fruit earlier and more regularly than other varieties. It prefers a sunny location and deep, well-drained soil. It is partially frost-hardy down to -3 °C, but in our country it is necessary to protect it from the winter and overwinter it indoors.
During growth and fruiting, it requires regular watering, but overwatering should be avoided. After harvest, a light cut helps healthy growth and a richer harvest.
Treat yourself to a taste of the tropics directly from your own garden or terrace and enjoy cherimoya fresh, in desserts or smoothies!
